Francesco Baracca Nieuport Macchi 11 Ni 1451

The first Nieuport Macchi (batch "1XXX") seemed to be very light finished (white or light web, but lighter than the french N11). Also, bands (tape) on fuselage and wings seemed to be lighter than french ones (not black, may be brown, grey or blue grey).

So, I decided that they were bluegrey!!

Francesco Baracca got his first victory flying this plane on april 7th, 1916, Medeuzza. (It was a Hansa Brandenburg C I).

Nieuport Macchi 11 Ni1664 (78a Squadrglia, 1st section?) Gulglielmo Fornagiari (7 victories).

This aircraft was also flown by Antonio Chiri when he got his 1st victory. Fornagiari was taking off from Fossalunga on june 27th, 1917 in this aircraft when he saw a woman and her child on the field. To avoid them, he pulled the Nieuport up sharply, stalled and crashed into a vineyard, tragically killing two boys.

Pack de 10 skins N62, fictional

This is a ten skins pack, for my virtual squadron "Escadrille N / SPA 62".

This first pack is coming with 10 Nieuport 11C1 in clear fabric finished. They are numered 1 to 10, and they don't have any other personnal marking (it's close to the reality).
Each plane has is own serial number (based on real serial numbers).

Looking at the number 6, it's close to the real "6", silver doped finished, Adjudant Paul Tarascon personnal's plane, nicknamed "Zigomar"(Nieuport 11 n° 1159, captured in june, 30th 1916 with Lieutenant François Mouronval).

I have reworked the template, and try to make 10 differents skins (the weathering is the same for all this planes), the "Coq" insignia is in various shade of black, red, blue and so on, it's close to the reality. Have look on the Albin Denis site, it's a real "gold mine"!

I hope you will enjoy them.

I am working on some other packs for my squadron, coming with Nieuport 17, Spad VII, Spad XII, Breguet XIV and then the Sopwith Strutter. I am going to make a second Nieuport 11 pack, in green/brown finished.
